Vihiga Queens will be seeking to continue their unbeaten run in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Women’s Premier League when they face Trans Nzoia Falcons in the top of the table clash at Kenyatta Stadium in Kitale on Saturday.

The defending champions are currently top of the Zone B table standings with 13 points, one ahead of Falcons after five matches played.

Head coach Alex Alumira says they are well prepared for the tie and banks on their impressive form to bag the three points.

“We have had a good start to the league which puts us on top and I expect that to continue tomorrow (Saturday) against Falcons,” Alumira said.

In their last league match, Queens hammered Kisumu All Starlets 3-0 at Mumias Sports Complex, a lose that left the lakeside outfit third in the log with 10 points.

“They are a good side with very good players. Despite our form and status, we need to be careful and take our chances because it is not going to be an easy game.”

In Nairobi, Ulinzi Starlets FC will face Zetech Sparks FC at Utalii Grounds, Makolanders FC hosting Gaspo Women FC and Eldoret Falcons visiting Oserian Ladies FC.

On Sunday, All Starlets will be welcoming Wadadia FC at Moi Stadium seeking to bounce back to winning ways.

Other matches set for Sunday include Sep Ladies FC taking on Nakuru Queens FC, Kayole Stalet FC welcoming Kibera Soccer Ladies FC and Thika Queens FC clashing with Mathare United Women FC.
