Brazilian star Neymar targeted by homophobia complaint

A Brazilian LGBT activist filed a complaint against Neymar at the São Paulo public prosecutor's office for homophobia, after the Paris SG attacker called his own mother's companion a "little fag."

The prosecution confirmed to AFP that it had received the complaint, which must now be studied by a prosecutor, responsible for deciding whether or not to prosecute the Brazilian star.

Activist Agripino Magalhaes, who is not directly involved in the case, announced on Instagram on Monday that he plans to file a complaint for "homophobia and hate speech."

The entourage of the 28-year-old striker declined to comment on this information.

The homophobic insults were heard in an audio recording of the player's private conversation with several leaked friends in the press.
