Cristiano Ronaldo, popularly known as Cr7, is regarded as one of the best footballers to ever grace a football pitch.

Ronaldo, inspired Portugal to a 6-0 thrashing of Lithuania in Euro 2020 qualifying on Thursday night, scoring a hat-trick in the Group B win.

Portugal can now easily qualify for the much-awaited showpiece if they beat Luxembourg on Sunday.

The victory saw Ronaldo break yet another record, with his status as one of the greatest players of all time long since cemented.

1. Following his three against Lithuania, Ronaldo is now the top scorer in European Championship qualifiers with 30 goals in 34 appearances.

2. The Juventus forward has netted a hat-trick in 12 different countries: Lithuania, Portugal, Italy, Russia, Spain, Japan, Armenia, Sweden, Turkey, Northern Ireland, Netherlands and England.

3. Ronaldo has now scored 98 goals and he’s two goals shy to reach a century in 163 caps for Portugal.

– Those 98 goals have come against 40 different countries.

4. Cr7 has now scored 55 hat-tricks for club and country throughout his glittering career.

5. He has now scored over 700 senior career goals for club and country while also registering 249 assists.

Now on 98 goals, the 34-year-old is still hungry to surpass Ali Daei's record of 109 international goals in 149 caps for Iran.

Euro 2020 is scheduled to be the 16th UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international men's football championship of Europe organised by UEFA.

The tournament is scheduled to be held in 12 cities in 12 European countries.

Portugal are the defending champions, having won the 2016 edition.
