Manchester United star Paul Pogba appeared to clash with team-mate Jesse Lingard after the club landed in Perth to start their pre-season tour.

All eyes were on the Frenchman as he reported for their trip as planned despite intense transfer speculation surrounding his future at Old Trafford.

In a clip shared by Manchester United's official Twitter account, Pogba looked to be pulled away from team-mate Lingard by defender Victor Lindelof as his desire to quit the club appeared to take an incredible turn.

The Red Devils landed Down Under after a 16-hour flight and stretched their legs upon arrival ahead of the start of their training regime on Monday.

Lingard and Pogba looked to exchange heated words with Lingard looking far from happy as his French team-mate took a step towards him.

Lindelof put an arm around Pogba and got between the pair before the footage panned to another part of the group.

But fans quickly noticed what they had seen and pointed out the encounter between the team-mates on social media.

They felt it showed Pogba is "desperate to leave" and highlighted that he seemed keen to attack Lingard before Lindelof intervened.

The Red Devils were concerned Pogba could be a no show for their flight given his desire to leave the club and his reluctance to take on the marathon trip to Australia.

Pogba and agent Mino Raiola have declared his desire to take on a new challenge, with Real Madrid front of the queue for his signature and Juventus also keen to hand him a return to Turin.

United are desperate to keep hold of their star man and forced him to travel to Australia after showdown talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

But it seems relationships with some team-mates may already have become strained judging by his altercation with Lingard.

Lingard has also made headlines this summer, coming under fire from United fans for some of his social media antics whilst on holiday with team-mate Marcus Rashford.

Both are part of the travelling party who will take on Perth Glory and Leeds United on Saturday, July 12 and Wednesday, July 17 respectively.

They will then take on Inter Milan in Singapore on July 20 and Tottenham in Shanghai on July 25 before returning to the UK for their final pre-season clash with AC Milan in Cardiff on August 3.
