Neymar is yet to open talks with Barcelona regarding a sensational return and could end up staying at Paris Saint-Germain this summer, his dad has claimed.

The Brazilian wants to part ways with PSG ahead of next season and it is understood that his former Spanish club are leading the race to secure his services.

His two years in Paris has been overshadowed by his antics off the pitch and it was claimed that PSG will consider selling the 27-year-old in the forthcoming transfer window if they receive a substantial offer.

And Brazil outlet Esporte Interativo recently reported that Neymar's dad and his lawyer arrived in Barca to push through the move.

It was claimed that the pair were in Spain to meet Andre Cury, an advisor who brokered the deal which saw Neymar leave Barca in 2017.

However, Neymar's father has quashed those rumours and suggested a return to the Nou Camp giants is some way off.

'It's not planned anytime, I'm in Brazil and I'll stay here until my son returns to Paris,' he told Canal Supporters.

This development comes after reports in France over the weekend suggested that PSG have accepted that Neymar's future lies away from Paris.

Le Parisien wrote that 'the door for departure is open' and they are even willing to drop their initial valuation of £200m, the amount they paid Barca to sign him two years ago.

It has now been reported that PSG’s owners would settle for a figure between €130m (£116m) and €150m (£135m) plus two Barcelona players.

Spanish daily AS have claimed that among the Barca players believed to be available as part of the sweetener are Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Ivan Rakitic and Samuel Umtiti.
