Football: Sindo United receive timely boost

Homabay's Sindo United opened their county Central Zone Division Two campaign with a 4-0 demolition of Kobare United from Siaya County. Before the match, Cabinet Secretary for Sports and Culture Rashid Echesa presented the team with kits from Jefferson Group.

The sponsorship also entailed cash to cater for Sindo’s travels.

Echesa was accompanied by Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) for Ministry of East Africa Community and Northern Corridor Development Ken Obura. Goals from George Oliver and captain Peter Ojunge saw Sindo take a 2-0 halftime lead before Brian Ayata and Bob Kiriga sealed the victory.
