Paul Pogba's six-word outburst that sparked Michael Carrick 'training ground spat'

Paul Pogba was reportedly involved in a training ground spat with Michael Carrick following Jose Mourinho's sacking.

The Portuguese manager was given the boot on Tuesday following a disastrous run of results that has seen them fall 19 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Pogba didn't see eye to eye with the Special One and Mirror Sport revealed earlier this week that the midfielder was high-fiving his teammates when Mourinho was given the bullet.

The Sun now claim Pogba shouted: "He f***** with the wrong baller" - but his outburst didn't go down well with Carrick.

The coach, who worked under Mourinho, will assist interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

He allegedly reacted angrily to Pogba's six-word reaction and reminded the Frenchman that no one is bigger than the club.

Solskjaer is due to take charge of his first training session on Thursday morning and Pogba will be keen to prove his worth to his new boss.

Former Juventus and France star David Trezeguet has challenged Pogba to show United fans what he can do.

Trezeguet told Mirror Sport: "He was exceptional in Russia last summer and key to success as he took a leadership role.

"Now, of course the fans and the media expect a lot from him and so he must demonstrate his qualities with Manchester United and set the bar high himself."
