Miheso protests to Fifa over threat

Former AFC Leopards winger Clifton Miheso has officially filed a complaint with the world governing body Fifa over his mistreatment by South African side Golden Arrows.

According to the BBC website, the player wants action taken against the South African club for allegedly forcing him to terminate his contract at gun point.

The Kenyan international claims the incident took place on January 14 at the club's offices in Durban.

BBC further reported that the 24-year-old is seeking a transfer ban to be placed on Golden Arrows and also wants to be paid Sh2.2 million as outstanding wages.

Golden Arrows denied the allegations. Miheso has played 14 times for Harambee Stars and scored five goals.

In a statement, World Players' Union FIFPro said:" Miheso's lawyer has filed a complaint to Fifa after the footballer was pressured by two men carrying guns to terminate his contract with South African club Golden Arrows.

"The armed men arrived in the club's offices where he was meeting with the chief executive and pressured him into signing a document rescinding his contract.

"Later that day, the club's chairwoman persuaded Miheso to drop a police complaint and indicate that he had no issue with the club.
