France and Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko has confirmed he wants to leave the Magpies following their relegation to the Championship.

The 26-year-old disappointed for the Magpies last season but put himself in the shop window with a series of fine performances at Euro 2016.

“My priority is to stay in England even if I’m not against going to search for a new challenge elsewhere," Sissoko said. “I particularly want to play with big players and in top-level matches.”
