League leaders Tusker carry an impressive away record to Moi Stadium in Kisumu today where Western Stima awaits.

Tusker, who sit top of the table with 14 points ahead of Mathare United on goals scored and AFC Leopards on goal difference, have picked four wins away from home this season which makes them the best side on the road at the moment.

Not only have they won mostly away, they have also scored the highest number of goals on the road with the tally currently standing at nine.

In contrast to their home record, the brewers have not won even once in their backyard instead picking two draws and a loss and conceding five times in the process.

But despite a good away record, Tusker coach Paul Nkata remains cautious ahead of their trip to Kisumu.

“We do not expect an easy match considering that we will play on an unfamiliar ground. It is an astro-turf which we are not used to. It is going to be difficult for us, but we look forward to pick all three points away,” he said.

For goals, the brewers will look no further than Stephen Owuso who two goals in two starts.

Western Stima have had a slow start to the season and beating Tusker should be a priority as they seek to take off in their ambitions to finish among the top teams.

In coach Henry Omino, they have a veteran coach who specialises in understanding the opposition and is likely to give Tusker a hard time especially in the second half.

For keen observers of the club, Stima have been lethal in the second half of their matches.

Elsewhere, AFC Leopards are not expected to have any problems against Sofapaka today at Nyayo Stadium.

Leopards surrendered their unbeaten run last Sunday to City Stars and are in a hurry to bounce back to winning ways as they seek to keep their title ambitions alive.

The team’s Technical Director Jan Koops has warned against underrating their opponents who have lost six games in a row.

“It was disappointing to go down to City Stars and I believe we have what it takes to bounce back,” he said.
