Former AFC Leopards player Ricky Ojanga is dead. Mr Ojanga’s mutilated body was found dumped in Narok County by playing children.

Ojanga operated a car hire and matatu business along the Eldoret-Nakuru-Nairobi highways. He was lured to his death by people who had sought his transport services to Narok town to solve some land cases.

“We received news yesterday from a neighbour that police had called her to find out whether I knew someone called Ojanga. We then tried to call him but could not trace him,” his widow Wanjiru Karugo said. Police are yet to establish the motive of the killing.

“I cannot explain the motive of the killing because, he normally concentrated on his business apart from occasionally playing or watching football,” said Ms Karugo.

Ojanga’s vehicle was later recovered by police in Migori County.
