Javier Hernandez hints at Premier League return

Arsenal target Javier Hernandez has fuelled talk of a summer switch after refusing to guarantee he will stay at Bayer Leverkusen beyond the end of the campaign.

The Mexican marksman has been in red-hot form since joining the Bundesliga club from Manchester United five months ago, scoring 11 times in 12 league starts.

But the 27-year-old goalgetter, who is tied to the German outfit until 2018, has hinted he could quit the club amid speculation that he is set to join Gunners..

“We’ll see, you never know what happens," said Hernandez when quizzed about his future.

“You look at my last three years in which I have played for Real Madrid, Manchester United and now Leverkusen.

"I’m glad and happy to be part of this great club. It is my goal now to play a very good second half [of the season].

"[But] in this sport, it does not matter whether you sign a contract for ten years or ten times to prolong it by one year. In six months, everything can again be different."
