Jose Mourinho rejects claims that there is a player revolt against him

Jose Mourinho has rejected claims that there is a player revolt against him at Stamford Bridge.

The under-pressure Chelsea boss is fighting for his job after a disastrous start to the season, with the Premier League champions languishing 14 points behind leaders Manchester City in the title race.

Blues midfielder Cesc Fabregas denied reports that he was behind plans to get Mourinho axed.

And Mourinho insisted claims that a Chelsea player would rather lose than win a game for him were wide of the mark.

"It's a very sad accusation because you are accusing players, or one player, of dishonesty," he said during Tuesday's press conference.

"If I accuse you of being a dishonest journalist, I think you would be very upset and probably you would take legal action. It is a question for the players not for me."

Mourinho is confident Chelsea will qualify for the Champions League knockout stages as they prepare for Wednesday night's clash against Dynamo Kiev.

But he refused to expand on why they had suffered such a dismal start to the campaign.

He added: "It's a combination of factors and some of them I don't want to touch them, but yes I know.

"Everything is football-related. We don't want to blame social or political problems in some corner of the globe."
