Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane back on Man Utd's radar with a £40m bid

Manchester United are stepping up their pursuit of Harry Kane, with Old Trafford bosses  having made contact with Spurs over a possible £40million move, reports The Sun.

Mid last month the Tottenham striker declared himself 'flattered' to be linked with a summer switch to Manchester United - but says he is happy at White Hart Lane.

However, Manchester United are ready to test Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy's resolve to hold on to Kane with a fresh £40m offer. The report adds that Louis Van Gaal wants the 21-year-old to spark a similar reaction to Wayne Rooney's arrival at the club back in 2004.

Last year was a breakthrough season for Kane, who scored 31 goals in 51 appearances and scooped the PFA Young Player of the Year.

If transfer rumours are to be believed then let’s wait and see as Sky sources say Manchester United have not made an approach to Tottenham for striker Harry Kane.
