Arsenal has picked up an unexpected supporter for their Champions League clash with Monaco on Tuesday night.
Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has pledged his allegiances to the Gunners for the evening, as he thinks the north London club reaching the quarter-finals will be good for English football.
Hazard is pals with Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco, the scorer of Monaco's third goal in the first leg, but despite wishing him well, does not want him to qualify for the next round.
He told Canal Plus: "I have a friend Ferreira-Carrasco over there [at Monaco] and I wish him the best.
"But for English football, I hope Arsenal go through."
However, that support will likely only be exclusive to European competitions, as the Gunners have been tipped as the most likely side to challenge Chelsea for the Premier League title.
Arsenal will have to score at least three times in the French province if they are to stand any chance of progressing into the last eight of the Champions League.
And in order to do so, they will have to get past one of the sternest defences in the world at the moment.
England sit behind Spain in the UEFA country coefficient standings, but could drop below Germany in third place if both Arsenal and Manchester City follow Chelsea out of the competition this week.
