Botswana eliminates Harambee Stars from Cosafa Cup

Kenya’s Harambee Stars were on Thursday eliminated from Cosafa Cup after Botswana beat them 2-1.

Lesotho beat Swaziland 2-0 to lead Group B and progress to the quarter-finals thanks to a superior goal difference over Botswana.

Harambee Stars had been favourites to go through to the last eight after a win and a draw in their first two games but the floppy display saw the Kenyan team eliminated from the championship.

The Stars fell to an injury-time winner from Jerome Ramatlhakwana but even a draw would not have been enough to send them through.
