Nairobi: The Deputy Governor H.E Hon Jonathan Mueke received a cheque of Ksh 500,000 towards the Governors's tree fund; part of the 13-day Live Love Nairobi Festival being staged across the City by the Nairobi Government.

The fund was set up last year as a special purpose vehicle to help raise funds supporting the less fortunate children in the city managed children homes.

Speaking to the press at City Hall, the Public Relations Manager for Kenya Charity Sweepstakes thanked Nairobi City County Government for the continued support they have been receiving in creating a conducive environment for the lottery firm to continue operating.

The Deputy Governor confirmed that the donation will be utilised in putting a smile on the children this Christmas. He urged other organisations to continue supporting the County in setting up more institutions that will cater for the less fortunate in the society.
