Harambee Stars Coach Ghost Mulee has resigned.

Mulee threw in the towel after Stars lost 2-0 to Uganda Cranes, a third defeat in Group C Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.

The match came after Star's players ended their two-day strike on Saturday afternoon after receiving Sh300, 000 from Cecafa Secretary General Nicholas Musonye.

They had vowed not to honour their final match against Cranes if they were not paid allowances for 19 days, amounting to Sh2 million.

As usual the match was very tense and emotional.

After Ethiopia’s 1-1 draw with Malawi on Saturday, Kenya was effectively knocked out of the tournament and even a 10-0 rout of Cranes on Sunday would have taken them nowhere.

Prior to the game, Stars’ players had displayed determination to ensure ‘cranes do not reach the stars but apparently, cranes will always reach fallen and falling stars.’
