Kenya’s Emmanuel Naibei has won the 6th edition of the 2012 Lagos City Marathon.
Naibei on Saturday finished the 42km men's race in 2 hours, 11 minutes and 37 seconds to claim the top prize which is $30,000 (Sh3.2 million).
Ethiopian duo Daresa Geleta and Demiso Legese finished second and third respectively.
The runners-up and second runners-up bagged $20,000 and $15,000 respectively.

Ethiopia’s Meseret Dinke wins Female Category
In the women’s category, Meseret Dinke from Ethiopia reclaimed her title after emerging first on Saturday.
Celestine Jepchirchir of Kenya finished second with Desta Muluneh coming third.

Only 300 elite runners participated in Saturday’s race due to strict COVID-19 protocols.
The 42km race started from the National Stadium in Surulere and finished at Eko Atlantic.
