Organisers of the Kip Keino Classic invested heavily on sanitization efforts with the few fans allowed in forced to disinfect before entry to the stadium. Originally planned for May 2, but put off by World Athletics as part of measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus, fans at the one-day event had to sit far from each other.

Less than 6,000 fans were allowed into the stadium and constantly reminded to keep safe distance from each other.
