Florence Kiplagat defends her Chicago Marathon title in a time of 2:21:32

Kenyan Florence Kiplagat wins women's #ChicagoMarathon followed by fellow Kenyan Edna Kiplagat and Valentine Kipketer at third place

Kenya's Florence Kiplagat won her second straight Chicago crown, powering to a dominant victory in 2:21:32, almost two seconds ahead of runner-up Edna Kiplagat (2:23:28).

There was no such drama for half-marathon world record-holder Florence Kiplagat, who powered home all alone, giving a quick victory dance after crossing the line and embracing her training partner Kirui.

Compatriot Edna Kiplagat took second in 2:23:28 and another Kenyan, Valentine Kipketer, was third.
