The 25th round of action in the FA Premier League this coming weekend could have long-reaching repercussions, with Chelsea looking to bounce back from a disastrous defeat at Bournemouth when they host Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon (2 February). The following day, Manchester United will look to continue their revival away at Leicester, while on Monday evening title favourites Liverpool are at West Ham.

First things first

Where should I be investing my money?

First up, the clash between Chelsea and Huddersfield. Following an excellent start to the season, the Blues have slipped up over the last few weeks, losing their last two league outings and dropping down to fifth in the table – they are still at just 1.66 to finish in the top four, however.

Huddersfield, in stark contrast appear to be staring relegation in the face. They sit rock bottom of the league, without a win in their last 11 matches, and have scored just 13 goals all season – they are the overwhelming favourites to finish bottom of the table and are priced at just 1.20 to do so.

Regarding this match, it is Chelsea who therefore come in as the clear favourites to take the points. You can back the Blues to get back to winning ways at just 1.16, while Huddersfield are all the way out at 13.00 to record what would be a shock win – a draw is priced in the middle at 7.50, according to Oddsshark.

This should be a relative walk in the park for the home side. A comfortable, 3-0 win for Chelsea is priced at 7.00, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$35 payout, while new signing Gonzalo Higuain comes in at just 1.72 to net his first goal for his new club.

United look to go fourth with win at Leicester

The following day, Manchester United head to Leicester knowing that a win could lift them up into fourth, depending on how other results go. Leicester are without a win in their last four matches across all competitions which has seen the club drop into the bottom half of the table.

Manchester United, meanwhile, have won eight of their last nine games across all competitions and look to have rediscovered their form following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho. The red Devils are now at just 2.75 to finish the season in the top four and qualify for next season’s edition of the UEFA Champions League, something that look a nigh-on impossibility under their former manager.

And while the betting is close it is United who come into this match as the favourites to maintain their recent unbeaten streak. You can double your money by backing the visitors to win at 2.00 while Leicester, despite home advantage are out at 3.40 to do the same – a draw would appear to be the least likely outcome and is priced accordingly at 3.60.

And we are expecting the visitors to prevail. A narrow, 2-1 win for United comes in at 9.50, thereby offering close to a ten-fold return on any investment, while you can quadruple your money by backing a combo bet of a United win, coupled with both teams to score, at 4.00.

Liverpool out to extend lead at West Ham

And finally, this week’s Monday night action sees West Ham hosting league leaders Liverpool. The Hammers are sitting comfortably in mid-table, with little danger of suffering relegation but equally little hope of infiltrating the top six.

Liverpool, by way of comparison, are five points clear at the top of the table and have an excellent chance of winning their first ever Premier League title. They are the favourites to lift the trophy come the end of the season and are priced at just 1.50 to do so.

Regarding this match, Liverpool are the red hot favourites to take all three points. You can back the visitors to win at just 1.33, with West Ham out at 8.00 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 5.25.

This should be an away win. A comfortable, 3-1 win for Liverpool comes in at 12.00, while you can almost triple your money by backing a combo bet of a Liverpool win, coupled with both teams to score, at 2.75.
