Chelsea out to get one over former boss Jose Mourinho

There is one match in the ninth round of the FA Premier League this coming weekend, and that is the clash between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon (20 October). On the same day, defending champions Manchester City welcome Burnley to the Etihad Stadium while Liverpool look to get back on track way to Huddersfield.

First things first

Before you go any further, head on over to the Oddsshark website, find your favourite betting site and get your own account up and running using your credit card. As a new customer and with the Premier League season already underway, there should be a wide range of promotions and special offers available to you.

Where should I be investing my money?

First up, Chelsea welcome Manchester United to west London looking to extend their unbeaten start to the season. The Blues sit joint top of the table with 20 points from eight games and are scoring at a rate of over two goals per game.

For Manchester United, this season looks to be in crisis mode before it has properly begun. The Red Devils have lost three of their opening eight encounters and are down in eighth place, behind both Wolves and Bournemouth.

And it is in-form Chelsea who come in as the clear favourites to take the points in this one. You can back the home side to pick up the win at just 1.75, with United all the way out at 5.00 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 3.90, according to Oddsshark.

And we are expecting Chelsea to heap more misery on Mourinho.  Comfortable, 2-0 win for the Blues is priced at 9.00, while you can double your money by backing under 2.5 goals in the game at 2.00.

Champions City host Burnley

On the same day, current Premier League champions and table toppers Manchester City welcome an out of sorts Burnley side to the Etihad Stadium. City are yet to lose a league game this term and have won their last two home matches against Burnley by a margin of three goals.

Pep Guardiola’s side has started the season in rampant fashion, and are scoring at a rate of over 2.5 goals per game. Burnley, by way of comparison, are down in 12th place having won just two league matches so far this season.

And it is no surprise that it is City who are the overwhelming favourites to pick up another victory this weekend. The champions are at just 1.071 to wrap up the points, with Burnley all the way out at 34.00 to collect a shock win – a draw is priced in the middle at 11.00.

City could well go all out, and  5-0 win for the home side comes in at 10.00, thereby offering a ten-fold return on any investment. Sergio Aguero is the favourite to get on the score sheet and is priced at just 1.33 to do so.

Liverpool looking for win to stay level at the top

And finally, Liverpool travel to Huddersfield looking for three more points to stay level with Chelsea and Manchester City. Huddersfield have made a dreadful start to the season and are yet to win in the league – the Terriers are in the bottom three with just three points from eight games.

Liverpool, by way of comparison, are unbeaten so far in the league and have collected 20 points – that’s almost seven times as many as their next opponents. To make matters worse for Huddersfield, they have not beaten Liverpool since 1959, and we are not expecting that statistic to change this weekend.

Liverpool come into this match as the red-hot favourites to pick up a win on the road and are priced at just 1.28 to do so. Huddersfield, despite home advantage, are out at 11.00 to collect their first league victory of the campaign, and a draw is priced in the middle at 5.00.

A narrow, 2-1 win for Liverpool is priced at 9.50, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$47.50 payout. In addition, you could more than double your money by backing both teams to score at 2.25, with a combo win of a Liverpool win and both teams to score giving you the chance to more than triple any investment – that bet comes in at a price of 3.40.
