The ninth round of fixtures in Italy’s Serie A is set to get underway this coming weekend and there are no prizes for guessing the key clash. City rivals Inter and AC Milan are set to go head to head this coming Sunday afternoon (21 October), while on Saturday AS Roma will look to continue their recent good form against Spal and current champions Juventus host Genoa.

Getting the ball rolling

First things first, swing by the Oddsshark website, procure your favourite betting agency and get your own account sorted out with a username and password. As a new customer and with the Serie A season already underway, there should be a whole host of promotions and special offers for you to enjoy.

Where should I be investing my money?

First up, AS Roma will look to continue their recent winning streak when Spal visit the Italian capital. After a sluggish start to the new season, the Romans have since won four league matches in a row and sit sixth in the table, just two points behind Inter Milan in third place.

Spal, in stark contrast to their next opponents, have lost their last four league outings on the bounce and have slumped down to 14th place, just four points above the relegation zone. Another defeat this weekend could see them dragged into real trouble.

And given the recent form of both sides, it is Roma who come into this match as the red hot favourites to take the points. You can back the home side to make it five league wins in a row at just 1.33, with Spal all the way out at 8.50 to pull off a shock win – a draw is priced in the middle at 5.00, according to Oddsshark.

A comfortable, 3-1 win for Roma is priced competitively at 11.00, thereby offering more than a ten-fold return on any investment. In addition, you could almost triple your money by backing a combo bet of a Roma win and both teams to score at a price of 2.87.

Juventus to maintain 100 per cent record against Genoa

On the same day, current league champions and table toppers Juventus will expect to maintain their 100 per cent start to the new season when they host Genoa in Turin. The Old Lady have won all eight of their league encounters so far and are scoring at a rate of over two goals per game.

Genoa, by way of comparison, are having an inconsistent time of it and are down in 11th place with four wins and three defeats to date. Given the difference in technical ability between the two sides they are unlikely to cause Juventus too many problems this weekend.

And unsurprisingly, it is the champions who come into this clash as the overwhelming favourites to make it nine wins from nine. The Old Lady are at just 1.20 to take all three points, with Genoa all the way out at 13.00 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 6.50.

A comprehensive, 3-0 win for Juventus is priced at 7.00, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$35 pay out. Cristiano Ronaldo is the favourite to get on the score sheet and is at 1.44 to net at any time during the game, while you can back him at 3.00 to score either the first or the last goal of the game.

Inter and AC Milan meet in derby

And finally, Inter and AC Milan re set to meet in a fierce derby clash. Inter have been flying of late and have won their last six matches in a row across all competitions – they currently sit third in the table, just two points behind Napoli in second place.

There have also been signs that AC Milan are beginning to find their best form. The Rossoneri are unbeaten in their last eight matches across all competitions and are in 10th place, albeit just four points off their city rivals in third.

And while the betting is close, it is Inter who come in as the slight favourites to take the points and the spoils. You can more than double your money by backing Inter to win at 2.30, with AC Milan at 3.10 to snatch all three points – a draw would look to be the least likely result and is priced accordingly at 3.25.

A comfortable, 2-0 win for Inter is priced at 12.00, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$60 pay out. You could also more than quadruple your money by backing Inter to win to nil (without AC Milan scoring a goal) at 4.50.
