Arsenal FC are preparing for a busy summer shake-up after struggling to book a spot in the Champions League competition for a second consecutive season.

Reports from the mirror indicates that the Gunners are preparing to show nine first team players the exit door. Arsene Wenger’s future with the Gunners is also in doubt as Arsenal are planning to recruit a new manager in the summer.

The following nine players could leave the club in the summer;

Jack Wilshere

The England midfielder’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and the star is stalling a new contract until the Gunners improves it.

If he will leave, then Arsenal will not receive any transfer fee from the club that will sign him.

Calum Chambers

The former Southampton full back signed a new contract at the start of the season but has failed to be consistence. Arsenal will be willing to let him leave as part of the shakeup.

Danny Welbeck

The former Manchester United player can play as a central striker or out wide making him an important part of the Arsenal squad but has only 18 months left on his contract. With the arrival of Aubameyang and Lacazette, Welbeck will not get the minutes he requires at Arsenal.

Lucas Perez

Perez still has two years left on his contract but it looks pretty clear that the Spanish forward has no future at the Emirates and Arsenal will look to offload him at a cut price to try and attempt other clubs to take on his wages.

Joel Campbell

The Costa Rica international has not featured for Real Betis where he is on loan to injury.

The star has made it clear that he desires to leave Arsenal permanently and will be looking to leave this season when his contract expires.

Carl Jenkinson

The defender who is on loan at Birmingham has not had a perfect season as he has been out due to injury after dislocating his shoulder. He just returned to action at the end of January and has featured nine times for Birmingham.

David Ospina

Ospina is desperate to get more minutes in the field and it seems he will not get it at Arsenal. He is eyeing a move away from Arsenal at the end of the season.

Aaron Ramsey

The Manchester United and Chelsea target has only 18 months left on his contract with the Gunners and seems not ready to pen a new deal with the club.

Arsenal will look to sell him before his contract expires so as not to let him leave on a free transfer.

Hector Bellerin
