In boys’ handball, Barani got off well after edging out Shimo La Tewa 9-7. Moses Mamba scored five goals with Kelvin Kalu (2) and Peter Sudi and Moses Mumba scoring also getting into the score sheet for the winners. Nelson Karisa and Salim Chigwele scored five and two respectively for Shimo La Tewa. Lamu’s Mpeketoni defeated Samburu of Kwale 14-8 in another match.

In girls’ handball, Shimba Hills from Kwale dismissed Kajembe of Mombasa 28-4 while Barani of Kilifi drubbed Lamu’s Witu 14-4 even as Shanzu Teacher's Training College and Shimo La Tewa grounds host semi finals today.
