SUPER LEAGUE: Mwangi scores as Kayole Asubuhi edge Ole Rongai

After endless frustration in the past weeks, defending champions Kayole Asubuhi bounced back with 1-0 victory against Ole Rongai in the ongoing SportPesa Super 8 Premier League at the weekend.

 Daniel Mwangi scored in the 43rd minute for that vital win. While savouring the victory, Kayole head coach Isaiah ‘Song’ Omondi said they will focus on one match at a time as they seek to remain in contention.

Meltah Kabiria FC slowed down NYSA’s title charge in a Dagoretti derby that ended 0-0 at Posta ground along Ngong road. Nonetheless, NYSA still commands the 16 team leader board despite sharing the weekend spoils with Kabiria.

Governor's Cup: AFC Youth bundled out in ward finals

AFC Leopards Youth lost 2-0 to CID FC of South C during Nairobi Governor’s Cup football tournament ward finals at various grounds at the weekend.

Joseph Oyule and Stephen Onyango scored for CID FC, who are coached by former Kenya International Charles Omondi Korea.

Impressive Sharp Boys won 1-0 against Star Soccer Academy in Kamukunji Sub-County final. Jijazie FC also beat Bantu United 2-0, while Eastleigh Youth drubbed Reggae Boys 4-1 in a one-sided affair in the zone.

 Kiambiu Youth defeated Casl Dad 4-1, while Lebanon beat Shauri Moyo Sportiff 4-0
