United States International University of Africa (USIU-A) dislodged former champions Butali Warriors from the top of the Kenya Hockey Union Men’s Premier League table.
The students have 10 points, same as second-placed Wazalendo Hockey Club, who had a fruitful weekend winning their two ties against KCA University and Parklands Sports Club with an identical 3-2 score.
USIU-A on the other hand had a dull outing suffering their first defeat of the season and managing one point from their 2-2 draw against former holders Kenya Police.
The outcome saw them drop crucial points in one weekend. They top the standings due to a superior goal difference. Warriors, who are the only side that remains unbeaten, are third tied on nine points with their archrivals Nairobi Sikh Union.
