The Kenya rugby fraternity is mourning the death of local rugby player Ogeto Gecheo who succumbed from injuries he sustained while playing for his team Nondescripts on Saturday.

The 19 year old centre got injured as he tackled an opponent during last week’s Kenya cup tournament which was played under rainy conditions.

Ogeto who was popularly known as OG was the younger brother to Nondies chairman Auka Gacheo and he was the team captain of the Maseno school rugby team that took part in the 2015 East Africa team.

Ogeto joined Nondies at the beginning of the 2016/2017 season and was the first choice centre for the team.
