Nairobi, Kenya: Kethi Kilonzo and the Wiper Democratic Movement have filed a case seeking to have Mutula Kilonzo Junior included in Friday’s by-election ballot papers.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) had printed ballot papers without the name of Wiper party candidate Mutula Kilonzo Junior.

CORD, which is against suggestions by IEBC that they will paste Mutula Jnr details on the ballot papers had threatened to move to court over the matter.

The case will be heard tomorrow (Wednesday, July 24).

IEBC CEO James Oswago said if the court does not rule otherwise, the by election will proceed with five candidates contesting.

The five candidates; Philip Kaloki , Jane Kitundu, Urbanus Muthoka, Harun Mwau and Mutula Kilonzo Junior have been criss crossing the county hunting for votes with only two days left to the by-election.
