A section of ODM officials have accused the Orange House of interfering with the party’s Homa Bay grassroots elections.
The officials complained that the National Executive Council favoured candidates allied to the area women representative Gladys Wanga who contested for the chairperson’s seat.
Led by Okinyi Rawo, they accused ODM national Chairman John Mbadi of conspiring with some officials to favour Wanga’s allies.
Because of the wrangles, ODM Elections Board Commissioner in charge of Nyanza Peter Odoyo, said the board had postponed the elections for Homa Bay County office indefinitely.
Odoyo said the board resolved that Wanga will continue serving as chair of the party in the county until the stalemate is resolved.
