Monica Okoth has disputed DNA results produced in court that confirmed that Nairobi MCA Anne Thumbi's son was sired by her now-deceased husband Ken Okoth.
Monica, (pictured), yesterday requested the court to grant her more time to table a different set of DNA results.
Senior Principle Magistrate Mildred Obura directed her to produce results within 14 days.
The magistrate ordered the matter mentioned on October 2, 2019 to allow Monica to file her DNA results.
Thumbi’s lawyer Elkana Mogaka had asked the court to close the case based on results that confirmed the late Kibra MP was her son's father to enable his client to proceed to the Family Division to file for property division case.
“DNA results indicated that Thumbi's son was sired by late Kibra MP and, therefore, he is entitled to inherit his father’s properties,” said Mr Mogaka.
On September 5, Lawyer Danstan Omari and Mogaka filed the results that confirmed that the late Okoth was the biological father of Thumbi's son in court.
The lawyers indicted that the tests were conducted in three hospitals - local and international.
Thumbi had gone to court seeking to stop Okoth's burial (he was later cremated) until her son could be recognised as the MP's biological son.
