Nairobi, Kenya: Two children were Monday night killed in a fire incident in Mukuru slums, Nairobi.
A third child is admitted in hospital after she suffered serious burns. The deceased children were aged nine and ten.
Police say the fire was started from one of the affected houses before it spread fast to other structures after a man tried to do an illegal power connection.
According to police, the man had tried to connect power from his neighbour, which triggered the fire.
"We are informed a man had tried to connect power to his house which caused the fire. Other experts are however investigating," said Makadara OCPD Nehemiah Langat.
