Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga has denied claims that he has endorsed aspirants for various seats in the county.

Speaking in Nyadorera, he said all aspirants were free to campaign in the region. “All these aspiring candidates are my daughters and sons.

I will depend on them help to lobby for votes in my favour. Endorsing any of the aspirants will be sowing seeds of discrimination,” he noted.

Rasanga said he had only endorsed CORD leader Raila Odinga for the presidency in the August election. Rasanga will face Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo, former Regional Development permanent secretary Carey Orege, and Siaya politician William Oduol in the ODM primaries.
