KTN PRIME BUSINESS: CBK cautions banks against speculating

The central bank of Kenya has cautioned banks against speculative predictions on the shillings performance adding that this could negatively impact the currency’s stability and lead to its depreciation. These remarks have seen economists ask market players to keep calm after the shilling started losing ground to major world currencies. The consolation here is that that these could be normal January currency fluctuation
