Second phase of mass voter registration to begin on January 16th

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is set to begin the second phase of the mass voter registration for one month beginning on the 16th of January.  IEBC seeks to raise the number of registered voters by 4 to 6 million in the run-up to the August General Election in line with the exercise, the poll agency is this week engaging stakeholders at both the county and national levels showing them how the kits will be used. In a meeting with representatives of political parties, IEBC assured the public that the kits will not fail. They however conceded that 8,000 of the kits are faulty.
