Members of the kikuyu community living in Uasin Gishu County today held peaceful protests against Kiambu governor William Kabogo. The residents jammed Eldoret streets holding placards and chanting anti-Kabogo slogans following his remarks that the Gema community will not automatically support deputy president William Ruto in 2022 general election. Kabogo’s remarks has elicited debate with a cross section of leaders saying Kabogo’s remarks were reckless and aimed at dividing the Kalenjin and kikuyus.
