The Kenyan Electoral body’s secretariat has defended their 30 billion shilling budget for next year’s general election, saying at least 19 billion of that money will go to voter registration alone. The IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba told the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee that this time, they will test all biometric voter identification defices six months before the 2017 poll to avoid a repeat of the 2013 fiasco.
