Inmate tortured to death
 Simon Nduro, an inmate at Naivasha Maximum Prison was tortured to death according to post-mortem report by Gov't pathologist, this is contrary to the prison department's report that he succumbed to asthma.
 
The report reveals that Nduro had bruises on the lower back, hips, hands and neck which were inflicted by a blunt object. The liver and lungs had also collapsed. 
 
Fellow inmates who passed information to his parents alleged the deceased was beaten by eight warders. claims that have been denied by the prison's department. Simon was serving a life sentence.
 
13-year-old boy commits suicide for being called 'ndazi' thief
 A 13-year-old boy in Kiigene Village in Imenti South on Sunday committed suicide after being called a thief after he took some mandazis.
According to his father, the Standard 7 pupil hanged himself after a relative called him a thief, at that time the rest of the family ware attending church service.
Imenti South Deputy County Commissioner Mugo and OCPD Maronga said the incident was unfortunate and condemned rising cases of suicide in the area.
