Two police officers arraigned in court for assisting robbery suspect to escape

Two police officers have been arraigned before a Nakuru court and charged with assisting a robbery with violence suspect to escape from police custody. The suspect in question Samson Khamari Liavoga had pleaded guilty to the offence but went missing when he was to be sentenced for the offence. Liavoga had admitted strangling to death martin Mathea before stealing household goods worth Ksh 80,000 belonging to the deceased at Ngala estate in Nakuru. The two officers peter Angura and Sharon Kipchumba were released on a bond of Ksh 50,000 with sureties of similar amounts.
