MURATHE: Ruto should go home with President Uhuru, we have no MoU to support anyone in 2022
Two leaders perceived to be close to President Uhuru Kenyatta have declared that central Kenya is not bound to vote for Deputy President William Ruto in 2022.
Jubilee Party vice chairman David Murathe and former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando, who said they were in Western shopping for an ally, stated there was no Memorandum of Understanding with Deputy President William Ruto, which guarantees him their support in 2022.
“We don’t have an MoU with anyone to support them in 2022. If they agreed that with President Kenyatta, that is their problem. Let us meet at the ballot,” said Murathe.
The leaders appeared to pitch for Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi to succeed Uhuru in 2022.
