The government threatens that it will not relent on enforcing the Michuki rule

The umbrella of Matatu operators has called off a strike and promised to get back on roads as soon as possible. the federation of public transport operators further apologized to commuters and pledged to comply with the rule of law.  the operators had Monday called for a countrywide strike over the reinstatement of Michuki rules by the government. but even as they did that, many Kenyans as still reeling from the transport crisis that hit the country leaving thousands of commuters stranded across the country. The crackdown on the errant matatu's precipitated in an increase in fares and a transport crisis. And as Yusuf Ibrahim now reports the government
