Former PS Richard Ekai alongside his co accused former sports officials plead not guilty to charges

Former principal secretary Richard Ekai alongside his co?accused former sports officials have pleaded not guilty to charges of graft during the 2016  Rio Olympics in which sh55 million was misappropriated.

Ekai appeared together with the then Rio games chef de mission Stephen Soi and the national Olympic committee of Kenya secretary general Francis Kinyili when the charges were read to them.

But on Ekey figure who was not resent in court today is the former cabinet secretary for sports Hassan Wario.

The prosecution has now applied for warrants to be issued for the arrest of former sports cabinet secretary Hassan Wario, who is Kenya’s ambassador to Austria and three others after they failed to appear in court.
