Kenyans today celebrated Moi day albeit quietly. Baringo senator Gideon Moi visited Kabarnet School for the deaf and blind in the company of Tiaty MP William Kamket. While speaking to parents and guardians of pupils at the special school, Senator Gideon urged Kenyans to use the day to reflect and help the less fortunate in society.

He revealed that former president Moi had marked the day with family and visitors who carried messages of goodwill and that the principles of being mindful of others had not changed.

He challenged Kenyans to use the opportunity to help the less fortunate in society and offer a helping hand and improve their livelihoods. Kabarnet school for the deaf and blind is one of the schools in Baringo County which offers learning to pupils from humble backgrounds and was started in the 1990s.
