13th September, 2018

Small scale farmers are set to benefit from a 10 billion shilling grant from India through Exim bank. The funds will be used for mechanization of agriculture, through sourcing low cost and multi?purpose tractors that are affordable to the farmers and easy to manage.

The ministry of agriculture has sixteen programmes meant to mechanize farming, which are targeting small scale farmers and youth to join in the sector, aiming to secure food for the country. The cabinet secretary in the ministry of agriculture shared some of the logistics made to improve production in farming and increase mechanization, while attending the first farm –tech expo at Karlo farm in Naivasha.
