In 2016 President Uhuru Kenyatta set up a taskforce to probe the coffee sector and identify issues affecting the high revenue earner.
Following the completion of the task force's assessment, a report with recommendations was submitted to President Kenyatta on how to address the challenges faced by the sector.
The president then formed a committee to act on the recommendations of the task force.
Professor Joseph Kieyah who heads the committee, sat down with Peter Wakaba, business editor, and highlights the progress of the reforms to the coffee sector.
