As banks in Kenya and around the world look to switch to accounting standards ifrs9, the Kenyan insurance industry is also deliberating on how to conform to ifrs17 standards. Ifrs17 is the first harmonised accounting standard and requires insurance companies to report future cash flows and outflows in an insurance contract.
