A buffalo escapes from Nairobi National Park into a farm in Kitengela

22nd June, 2016

A stray buffalo in Kitengela Kajiado County was the cause of a five hour anxiety among the residents. The buffalo is reported to have made its way from the neighboring Nairobi National Park into a farm. It took the help of residents and the Kenya Wildlife Service officers to safely escort the animal back to its origin. Cases of human wildlife conflict in the area have been more common in the recent past. Residents have complained of wild animals now attacking them and their livestock with no compensation for their losses. They have now challenged the government to intervene and offer them protection.
