Bus ferrying contraband's intercepted along the Garissa - Thika Highway

Officers from the Interior Ministry, NTSA and the inspector general’s office have today intercepted a bus carrying contraband goods along the Garissa – Thika Highway in a continued move to fight contrabands in the country the bus under registration number KBX 267K was travelling from Dadaab ferrying 49 cartons of Batook chewing gum; four cartons containing 25 pieces of Tres Orix?Forte appetite stimulant; five boxes containing 1000 sachets of pain relieving tablets; 286 tins of Red Cow Milk Powder; 37 tins of anchor milk powder ; and 42 tins of Nura milk powder. Preliminary inspection of the vehicle revealed that the under?floor of the passenger compartment had been illegally modified and fitted with secret storage bins.
