Residents of Mamboleo treated to free sugar after lorry rammed into a church

Residents of Mamboleo in the County of Kisumu were today treated to free sugar after a lorry carrying 10 tons of the commodity rammed into a church. The driver of the lorry which was ferrying sugar packed in 2 kilogramme packets from Kitale to Kisumu lost control of the vehicle which veered off the road, hit structures on the roadside before overturning inside the Pentecostal deliverance church, at Mamboleo junction. Residents who were nearby resorted to free shopping, shortly after rescuing the occupants. Both the driver and the turn boy sustained injuries and were rushed to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga teaching and referral hospital.
